Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: subversion
I have a copy of some project at work. At home, I renamed two
directories (with svn:externals). Then, I came back to work and ran svn
update. The directories had both their own files and externals (both
directories and single files).
3) I expected that the renamed directories would be removed. (Unless
they had changed files, in which case I would expect a conflict that
could be resolved by either removing the changed files or committing the
changes).
4) In fact, the renamed directories were not removed. They were there
under both names.
It's good that I have seen this. Imagine what could happen on a nightly build
server.
There's a chance that if some build scripts were not modified properly,
the build server would use the old files&directories. The testers would
complain that
they don't see any bug fixes....
