Public bug reported:

On a Thinkpad T410s, as well as a T410 and X201, the uvcvideo module in
the Lucid kernel frequently causes a failure to suspend. The symptom is
that the system attempts to suspend but just drops you back at the
unlock screen.

/var/log/pm-suspend reports:
/usr/lib/pm-utils/pm-functions: line 317: echo: write error: Device or resource
busy
Line 317 is: echo -n "mem" > /sys/power/state

Kern.log indicates the following:
PM: Device 1-1.6 failed to suspend: error -110

Device 1-1.6 is the integrated UVC camera with USB id 17ef:480d

By upgrading the uvcvideo module to the one from linuxtv.org, the
problem goes away. I'm hoping that the lucid uvcvideo module can get an
update, or a patch that fixes this problem, since it's already been
fixed upstream. However, it is also possible to work around the problem
by adding uvcvideo to SUSPEND_MODULES in pm-utils.
