Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: netbeans

If Netbeans is launched from a Unity shortcut, it launches ok. Right-
click and select "Keep in Launcher". Application name is shown as "java-
lang-Thread". Close Netbeans and try to re-launch from the launcher. The
icon pulses for a few seconds but Netbeans does not launch.

In some cases the title bar of Netbeans is missing but I cannot find a
pattern to this. May be associated with whether Netbeans was closed when
maximised or full-screen but it's not consistent. On launch, the title
bar is sometimes missing, the menu font is compressed vertically and
menus appear to be in the wrong place. Clicking on one menu actually
brings up another. Switching back and forth between full-screen (in the
application) and maximised sorts it out.
