AFAIK this was an issue with ZTE modems not being properly detected, so
I'll go ahead and mark this Fix Released because I really think it's
been taken care of by now (ZTE devices work now. I know my MF636 does).
Luis, please make sure your device has a SIM in it, that it's not PIN
locked, or even PUK-locked. There hasn't been updates to NetworkManager
or ModemManager recently in Maverick that could cause this to break
(unless maybe if you use PPA packages, but I still think it should
work). Regardless, if you see that this is still happening please file a
new bug using 'ubuntu-bug modemmanager' so that we can get all the
necessary information for your system to give us the best opportunity to
resolve the problem.
