Can you try the following:

When no job is printing, run the command

sudo killall -HUP cupsd

in a terminal window. Does CUPS continue running or does it crash?

Now let at least one of your printers print, preferably put more than
one job into the queue, so that there are also waiting jobs. Run the
command

sudo killall -HUP cupsd

Does CUPS crash now?
