Confirmed in Ubuntu 10.10 LibreOffice Writer. I tested this issue for
consistency via the Terminal:
lowriter -nologo
click Format -> Page... -> Columns tab -> highlight 1 in Columns combo
box -> type 2 -> immediately hit Enter on keyboard and notice two
columns are created. Hence, hitting Enter immediately works if in the
Columns combo box but not in the Spacing combo box.
