I've got an HP Pavilion 6, and have had luck patching the xf86-input-
synaptics-1.3.0 driver. Anyone running Gentoo can use these
<http://preview.tinyurl.com/4l69fe7> instructions, which worked out-of-
the-box for me.

For everyone else, patching xf86-input-synaptics with the attached patch
should fix things. I've had left, middle, and right click working
flawlessly, as well as two-finger scrolling and (slightly dodgy)
dragging.

** Patch added: "Patch for the X Synaptics driver (1.3)"
