Binary package hint: nautilus
I work with cifs over openvpn and it works very slowly. After different
tests, my conclusion is the preview function. All the images, pdf,
etc... is download to generate the thumbnail.
The fstab (with _netdev):
//192.168.1.1/gabriel /home/gabriel/personal cifs
noauto,_netdev,rw,noatime,iocharset=utf8,uid=1000,gid=1000,username=xxx,password=xxx,nounix,noserverino
0 1
I try many instruction in fstab but nautilis do the same.
Versions:
Ubuntu 10.10
GNOME nautilus 2.32.0
Linux version 2.6.35-27-generic (buildd@palmer) (gcc version 4.4.5

NOTE: If I mounted with "nautilus smb://192.168.1.1/gabriel" works
properly, don't generate the thumbnails and it is more faster.
