Ubuntu 7.04 already reached end of life, so please upgrade your system.
If you have update manager installed, just type in a terminal update-manager -d
elsewhere do these steps:
Make a backup of all important data, then type in a terminal:
sudo apt-get clean
sudo apt-get autoremove
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get dist-upgrgrade
Keep your pc attached to the power because this process can run for long time.
