Public bug reported:

When using Dash in Unity (or the Applications view, or the Alt+F2 view),
the focus is weird and unpredictable.

Release: Natty

What I expected to happen:
1) When using Alt+F2 --- I hit the keys and Dash appears. The last historical
entry is focused, so if I hit Enter now that app should be launched / command
should be given. I type gnome-terminal. Focus shifts. If I hit enter right
after typing gnome-terminal, gnome-terminal opens.
2) When using Dash --- I hit the super button. I type gnome-terminal. I hit
enter. Gnome-terminal opens.
3) Applications place --- I hit Super + a. The first app "available for
Download" is focused. I type gnome-terminal. Focus shifts. If I hit enter right
after typing, gnome-terminal opens.

What happened instead:
1) When using Alt+F2 --- I hit the keys and Dash appears. The focus is
currently located at ccsm (the first "historical entry"). I type
'gnome-terminal', and now there are two focus "squares" around icons: one
around gnome-terminal, and one around ccsm. I hit enter. CCSM opens, not
gnome-terminal.
2) When using Dash --- Dash works as expected.
3) Applications place --- I hit Super + a. The first app "available for
Download" is focused. I type gnome-terminal. Focus shifts as expected, but when
I hit enter right after typing, Software Centre opens.

This bug is easily reproducible, I think. You can try with other apps as
well, gnome-terminal is not the problem.
