Binary package hint: banshee
Maybe this sounds like a minor Issue, but it is a big leap backwards
instead of Rhythmbox for me and Banshee should replace Rhythmbox in the
near future.
Neigther the Artist list, nor the Album View supports type-ahead.
It is very comfortable in Rhythmbox to type "kru" in the Artist list and it
jumps to "Kruder & Dorfmeister", in many cases this is much faster then using
the Search Feature.
As i know the type-ahead feature is built into the GTK+ list widget.
IMHO it should be very easy to implement this feature in the Artist
List.
I tested the current Development Snapshot from the "Banshee Team PPA"
