Christopher, this is already in the 'info' page. Please keep in mind that the 'info' pages are the ultimate source of documentation for coreutils; the 'man' pages are a summary, and are generated from the programme's help call (please compare '/usr/bin/dir --help' and 'man dir').
As such, the help (and 'man' page) are necessarily reduced. But both point to the 'info' pages for complete documentation. So... I am not sure we really need to say, in the help, that 'dir' is equivalent to 'ls -C -b' -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/727937 Title: mv command not renaming file with invalid encoding -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
