Public bug reported:
After installing nvidia proprietary driver and rebooting on a fresh natty amd64
install, I can only get to command line. Xorg.0.log states "This server has a
video driver ABI version of 9.0 that is not supported by this NVIDIA driver".
Then a bit later on the log says:
[72.842] (II) Unloading nvidia
[72.842] (EE) Failed to load module "nvidia" (module requirement mismatch, 0)
[72.842] (EE) No drivers available
[72.842] Fatal server error:
[72.842] no screens found
[72.842]
