Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: xscreensaver
xscreensaver can't handle special chars and umlauts in non-latin1
environments (See Bug 671923). Having such a char in your password
results in a screen locked by xscreensaver that can't be unlocked.
Please use gnome-screensaver instead since the developer doesn't seem to
solve the issue in near future.
