Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: pmacct

pmacctd sometimes gives a segfault. It might be caused by the fact that
the interface it's listening to (in my case: wlan1) get disabled.

Mar 21 10:29:09 netbook pmacctd[1122]: WARN ( default/core ): wlan1 has become
unavailable; throttling ...
Mar 21 10:55:36 netbook kernel: [ 8388.257356] pmacctd[1122]: segfault at
71e3e504 ip 08070d6c sp bf8e9ae8 error 4 in pmacctd[8048000+7a000]

After the segfault, this is the ps -ef | grep pmacctd:

root 1124 1 1 08:09 ? 00:03:18 pmacctd: Netflow Probe Plugin
[default]
root 1125 1 1 08:09 ? 00:02:55 pmacctd: IMT Plugin [default]

root 1126 1 1 08:09 ? 00:02:29 pmacctd: Print Plugin [default]

After restarting the service, it's like this:

sander@netbook:~$ ps -ef | grep -i pmacct
root 1124 1 1 08:09 ? 00:03:18 pmacctd: Netflow Probe Plugin
[default]
root 12653 1 0 12:14 ? 00:00:00 pmacctd: Core Process [default]

root 12654 12653 0 12:14 ? 00:00:00 pmacctd: Netflow Probe Plugin
[default]
root 12655 12653 0 12:14 ? 00:00:00 pmacctd: IMT Plugin [default]

root 12656 12653 0 12:14 ? 00:00:00 pmacctd: Print Plugin [default]

So the pmacctd core process gets segfaulted.
