Hi RedSingularity,

I ran the command:  sudo rm -rv /var/lib/apt/lists/*

See attached output from that.

Next I ran the update command and received a complaint:

cgranberg@cgranberg-laptop:~$ sudo apt-get update | tee ~/Desktop/Update2.txt
E: Lists directory /var/lib/apt/lists/partial is missing.

The missing directory "partial" missing was deleted with the command
 rm -rv /var/lib/apt/lists/*
