Can you do the following: Run the command
sudo service apport start force_start=1 After that reproduce the crash with a command of your comment #6. Due to the running Apport a crash report dialog should pop up. Follow the instructions to report the bug. We will then join it with this bug report by marking one of them a duplicate of the other.
