I have the serious ask to update irssi to the new version it which the
'quote login problem' got solved. For now I cant connect to my bnc with
the irssi 0.8.10 (20051211 0941):
Reproducable: When connecting to the ezbounce you always get thrown out.
The Maintainer of ezbounce, Murat Deligonul <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>,
wrote the following lines:
<Just tested with the irssi installed with Fedora Core 6. It is the same
<version you have, 0.8.10.

<I wasn't even able to login. The client was queueing everything I sent
<with /QUOTE. I guess it was waiting until it thought I was connected to
<IRC.

<I then tried the latest version from the www.irssi.org website,
<0.8.11-rc1. It had a fix for the /quote issue and I was able to login and
<use the proxy just fine.

I did, and it works.
So please update the irssi to the new one.
