Hmmm, also occuring with my Firefox 4.0 Gold just installed with mozilla-stable PPA. I'm on Kubuntu 10.04. I'm using a profile copied from Minefield 4.0b13pre (which is working well side-by-side with mainstream Firefox) containing many add-ons.
