Public bug reported:
Binary package hint: grub2
Expected: to see a grub menu proposing to choose between linux kernels, which
one to boot
Actual: the latest kernel boots (but there's an unbearable bug, so I want a
downgrade).
I tried System->Preferences and System->Administration, it seems there are no
relevant items.
The story from the beginning:
I use Sun Virtual box, 32-bit guest maverick under a 64-bit host maverick.
After my agreeing to some updates, the linux in the VM hangs, ignoring the
keyboard but seeing the mouse.
It was not this way before.
I decided to use an older kernel, since it used to work, but cannot find a way
to boot under it.
There is only one OS, Ubuntu under the VM, but there are multiple kernels:
