Binary package hint: ubiquity
1. attempted to install Kubuntu i386 desktop daily version 20110321
2. installer crashed as I attempted to move on from (near?) final step
of entering username, password, hostname
3. GUI froze hard, was able to switch to login console (Ctl-Alt-F1) to
save syslog and partman to pre-existing /home partition. They are
attached.
BTW, I believe that this version of the installer, which I am seeing for
the first time, hits a sweet spot of simplicity and visual appeal.
