Hi Giovanni,
Yes, the driver from Intel had a lot of GPU lockup problems, however
with the current kernel (newer than you were using when this bug report
was filed) I believe we've got most of the bugs licked. In particular,
2.6.38-7.36 includes a fix for a very common cause of gpu lockups on
915/945.
So let's optimistically close this issue as fixed, but after you've
updated to the 2.6.38-7.37 or newer kernel, please do report any further
gpu lockup bugs you get prompted to file and we can go from there.
