The analysis is most likely correct. But that does not resolve the problem. The problem being ubuntu configured to use a mirror (like http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/...) and update manager notifies the user that an upgrade is available before it reaches the configured mirror (http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/...)
So what kind of information do you need? The problem is most likely reproducible with the following steps: 1. Configure your ubuntu to use mirror site (like http://dk.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/dists/...) 2. Configure your update manager (KPackageKit) to check for updates hourly. 3. Let the computer stay turned on the day a new release is released and observe. 4. As soon as the update manager notifies you of a new release, choose to upgrade your ubuntu.
