Public bug reported:

When plugging in headphones into this laptop, no sound comes out in such
headphones. The internal speakers don't mute either as they should.

Following the wiki's sound troubleshooting instructions [1] I tried the
following module options from the audio models list[2] :

3stack-dig 3-jack with SPDIF I/O
3stack-2ch-dig 3-jack with SPDIF I/O (ALC883)
alc883-6stack-dig 6-jack digital with SPDIF I/O (ALC883)
acer Acer laptops (Travelmate 3012WTMi, Aspire 5600, etc)

None of the above produced the expected results.
