Public bug reported: Hi,
I'm on a Thinkpad T410s with ubuntu maverick 64bit and experience random hangs of the whole system from time to time (several times a week). I'm not really sure what the problem is but managed to collect some kernel oopses and stack traces (see attached error.txt). I already had that problem with ubuntu 10.04. I don't know which package is responsible for that problem - thought I think it's kernel-related anyways. The oopses always show the following last sysfs-file "/sys/devices/LNXSYSTM:00/LNXSYBUS:00/PNP0A08:00/device:09/PNP0C09:00/PNP0C0A:00/power_supply/BAT0/voltage_now". Seems to be the same bug as that one at redhat's bugtracker: http://www.google.de/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=3&ved=0CCgQFjAC&url=https%3A%2F%2Fbugzilla.redhat.com%2Fshow_bug.cgi%3Fid%3D681704&rct=j&q=%2Fsys%2Fdevices%2FLNXSYSTM%3A00%2FLNXSYBUS%3A00%2FPNP0A08%3A00%2Fdevice%3A09%2FPNP0C09%3A00%2FPNP0C0A%3A00%2Fpower_supply%2FBAT0%2Fvoltage_now&ei =vwaPTaWDF8zBtAazz-H5CQ&usg=AFQjCNGl4gRprHbNz8sGadcjiQGUZlX51w&cad=rja cheers perdita ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 10.10 Package: xorg 1:7.5+6ubuntu3 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 2.6.35-28.49-generic 2.6.35.11 Uname: Linux 2.6.35-28-generic x86_64 Architecture: amd64 DRM.card0.DP.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.DP.2: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.DP.3: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI.A.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI.A.2: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.HDMI.A.3: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: DRM.card0.LVDS.1: status: connected enabled: enabled dpms: On modes: 1440x900 edid-base64: AP///////wAwrjZAAAAAACMTAQOAHhN46uWVk1ZPkCgoUFQAAAABAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBAQEBiCegbFGEIjAwIDYAML4QAAAYCCCgaFGEGDAwIDYAML4QAAAYAAAADwCVCjKVCigeCQAwZAgRAAAA/gBMVDE0MURFUThCMDAKAEs= DRM.card0.VGA.1: status: disconnected enabled: disabled dpms: On modes: edid-base64: Date: Sun Mar 27 11:24:42 2011 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 10.10 "Maverick Meerkat" - Release amd64 (20101007) MachineType: LENOVO 29123AG ProcCmdLine: BOOT_IMAGE=/vmlinuz-2.6.35-28-generic root=UUID=aae3e044-78b4-42ee-a6a3-bf6a2bc73909 ro ProcEnviron: LANG=en_US.utf8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: xorg dmi.bios.date: 10/27/2010 dmi.bios.vendor: LENOVO dmi.bios.version: 6UET61WW (1.41 ) dmi.board.name: 29123AG dmi.board.vendor: LENOVO dmi.board.version: Not Available dmi.chassis.asset.tag: No Asset Information dmi.chassis.type: 10 dmi.chassis.vendor: LENOVO dmi.chassis.version: Not Available dmi.modalias: dmi:bvnLENOVO:bvr6UET61WW(1.41):bd10/27/2010:svnLENOVO:pn29123AG:pvrThinkPadT410s:rvnLENOVO:rn29123AG:rvrNotAvailable:cvnLENOVO:ct10:cvrNotAvailable: dmi.product.name: 29123AG dmi.product.version: ThinkPad T410s dmi.sys.vendor: LENOVO glxinfo: Error: [Errno 2] No such file or directory system: distro: Ubuntu codename: maverick architecture: x86_64 kernel: 2.6.35-28-generic ** Affects: ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: amd64 apport-bug maverick -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/743538 Title: Thinkpad T410s freezes sporadically -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
