So according to comment 211, this bug is fixed as of version 2.6.38-5.32 of the package "linux". I looked around a bit, and the latest build I can find of that package (for amd64) is https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/2.6.38-7.39/+buildjob/2344157.
But all of those .deb files are built for Natty, not for e.g. Ubuntu 10.10 (which is what I'm using). So how can I get this fix on my system: - Just install them anyway and hope they'll work? - Wait for a backport of this fix to Ubuntu 10.10? If so, how can I see when (approximately) such a backport will be done?
