Whoah, I was trying to be helpful, not stir up a fight. FFes are process bugs for getting approval from the release team for last-minute changes. They are about weighing up the risk of bringing in a new version against the bugs it'll fix.
Ubuntu receives the latest releases (bug-fix or otherwise) via Debian for most packages. However they stop being automatically imported at the Debian Import Freeze. For natty, this was around new year. After that we concentrate on fixing bugs in the packages we have. https://wiki.ubuntu.com/NattyReleaseSchedule Even with this bit of bureaucracy, bringing in new versions is totally achievable, that's what this bug is about. Including information like the release notes Duncan linked to is useful to the release team in reviewing this request. Please can we keep this bug on topic. If you have any questions related to the Ubuntu development process, please contact me personally or visit the #ubuntu-motu IRC channel on irc.freenode.org. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742571 Title: [FFe] Please sync gramps 3.2.5 from Debian Unstable -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
