Subsequent to my previous post (#82, 3/16) about the on-boot "256"
error, in an unrelated effort I removed the Nanny app from the affected
PC (installed Mozilla-approved BlockSite directly from Mozilla rather
than thru software center), and lo and behold the error went away.
