be a very different problem due to different hardware.
Fernando, would it be possible for you to try this again on a live CD of
Maverick or the current development release (Natty)? There has been tons
of changes in ModemManager since Lucid and this particular problem may
have been fixed already. Unfortunately, I don't have this hardware to
test.
