Binary package hint: openoffice.org
In gnome terminal, gedit, or any other gnome application, unicode entry can be
achieved by doing:
ctrl-shift U+ hex code
in OpenOffice, you have to finish by hitting Enter. Furthermore, the
openoffice help does not mention this, and describes some very
complicated (and non-ubuntu platform specific) methods using dead keys.
