It seems libqwt doesn't have much priority when looking at http://packages.ubuntu.com/cgi- bin/search_packages.pl?searchon=sourcenames&version=all&exact=1&keywords=libqwt please update it to the latest version (both libqwt and libqwt-dev). In addition, adding the qtiplot program would be very nice (it depends on libqwt), it's a wonderful scientific application!
