Like Jacob, I'm a bit curious about why this would be delayed to beta-2. As I understand it, the issue was packaging issue specific to Debian/Ubuntu, and it breaks device support in Natty's default media player. Newer packages have been available for several days, so as a user, I'm not sure I understand why they wouldn't be included in the beta release.
Also, Banshee is following the Gnome release schedule, so Banshee 1.9.5 (currently included in Natty) is actually Banshee 2.0 Beta 1 -- an unstable development release. The latest version, 1.9.6, is a release candidate. Banshee 2.0 was scheduled for an April 6 release prior to the UDS decision to include Banshee by default, so I'm not sure I understand why any special measures would need to be taken to have it updated to the final, stable version when that is released.
