Marking as Fix Released because at least in Maverick and Natty, you can
set NM to not fail interfaces if the IP response doesn't get through.
As for IPv6 specifically, you'll always get interfaces set up with IPv6
addresses if the kernel sees an RA because... it's handled at the kernel
level. The difference with setting up IPv6 to "Automatic" in NM was that
it would timeout after a while. As for other issues outlined, AFAICT
they have been fixed upstream as well. If you see that you're still
having issues, please don't hesitate to open a new, separate bug, using
'ubuntu-bug network-manager', so that all the information necessary
pertaining to your system is included and we get logs from what NM and
the kernel do.
Thanks!
