** Description changed:

  Kubuntu 10.10
  libgcal0 0.9.6-0ubuntu1
  akonadi-googledata-1.2.0

What steps will reproduce the problem?
  1. Create an Event in Google Calendar via Web
  2. Look at Kontact and wait...wait wait wait.
  3. Nothing happens, even if one chooses (Reload) on the akonadi-calendar in
Kontact

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I would expect that Kontact updates the calendar ... I even can't find a way
to set an update-time-interval for to check for new events

+ The issue can be solved by recompiling the source packages:
+
+ apt-get source libgcal akonadi-googledata
+ sudo apt-get build-dep libgcal akonadi-googledata
+ cd libgcal-0.9.6
+ dpkg-buildpackage
+ cd ../akonadi-googledata-1.2.0
+ dpkg-buildpackage
+ cd ..
+ sudo dpkg -i libgcal0_0.9.6-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
akonadi-kde-resource-googledata_1.2.0-0ubuntu1_i386.deb
+
+ The packages may be put on hold after that, so that they are not overwritten
with broken repository packages:
+ sudo aptitude hold libgcal0 akonadi-kde-resource-googledata
