This has been fixed (at least to avoid breaking old binaries) here:

I wonder what the right way to backport this is, though. Matthias, do
you think it's OK to end up with a GLIBC_2_14 symbol? We'd have to be
rather careful about the .symbols files until such time as we have a
real 2.14 release.
