Binary package hint: unity
Hi, I have just upgraded to 11.04, I was using the native fglrx driver
from ATI. However when trying to enable the Unity Plug-in using the
Compiz manager, Open GL and Composit are selected as well, but after a
reboot the rendering of the unity task bar's and any app windows that
you launch are all black against the desktop graphic. The tool bar
appears to be auto hiding because the black side bar hides then un-
hide's the desktop graphic. If you accidentally launch another window by
clicking in the dark on the unity tool barthat window renders as a black
window on the desktop too. This appears to be a problem rendering the
window. Fail safe graphic mode seems to work OK with Unity disabled. I
have tried un-installing the manual catalist driver I used and enabling
the one shipped by Ubuntu in Proprietary drivers ... I get the same
problem ..... I am using the latest Radeon HD 6970 Which I have just
purchased a few weeks ago.
