Public bug reported: Binary package hint: openoffice.org
If I have a document with various images and I print it in booklet mode in many copies, the printing process ends without any print beeing produced. There is a number of copies which, if I keep below it all goes right, if I go above it the print doesn't happen. The bug was present in openoffice 3.x and in libreoffice 3.x too. I'm using the driver "Ricoh Aficio MP 2550 - CUPS+Gutenprint v5.2.6" Tipically, a 4 pages A5 document with text and about 7/8 b/w images, printed in A4 landscape booklet mode, can be printed in 500 copies, and in print manager it shows a 150MB spool file , but it cannot in 900 copies (300MB). I have 2GB ram. The bigger the images, the lower the critical number of copies. I suppose that the bigger the print file, the lower the critical number of copies.
