I don't think the icons should be hidden.

What I want:
  1. one wine menu contraining all entries
  2. user-stuff in the programs sub-menu
  3. system-stuff in a system sub-menu
  4. a desktop entry to reboot wine
  5. a desktop entry that links to the winehq website
  6. drop Wine in the name of the desktop-entries
  7. give them correct icons (from the currently installed theme) instead of
them all having the default wine-icon

Note to point 7: the file browser has nautilus icon, notepad has the gedit
icon, etc.

Example menu structure:

Applications
  -> Wine
         -> Programs
            -> user installed program 1
            -> user installed program 2
            -> Mines
            -> NotePad
         -> System
             -> Configuration
             -> Registry Editor
             -> Software Uninstaller
             -> Reboot WINE
         -> File Browser
         -> Help Browser
         -> About Wine

That would be perfect.
I think I can help supply the desktop-entries.
But how do you create a menu? What kind of file is needed?

If the package maintainer would tell me... I will post them here.
And who takes care of the translations?
