You are right. The icon is stuck on the screen. In most cases the icon returns to its positions if I click on the empty space.
But in some cases, the buttons seems to be totally (not frozen) but hollow and transparent. All mouse-clicks pass through to the window beneath. However the desktop and its windows and all keystrokes work fine and normally. See the attached picture. I have marked the text by dragging along the icons, like the buttons weren't there. BTW: When I grab and move a button/icon rather quickly up & down, the harddrive is spinning heavily and CPU usage for compiz pops up to 25% (ref: top). Harddrive keeps spinning a few seconds after the icon has landed. But this is not a real life problem. ** Attachment added: "Screenshot-4.png" https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/748900/+attachment/1972521/+files/Screenshot-4.png -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/748900 Title: Unity-desktop freezes when moving buttons (during scale plugin) -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
