Public bug reported:
I have just done a clean install of ubuntu 10.10 and then directly
upgraded to 11.04, so I am not sure if the issue is also present in
maverick, but here's what I know: Broadcom BCM4313 does not appear to
be working. I am unable to enable it from the network manager and typing
"lshw -C network" in terminal gives the following output:
*-network DISABLED
description: Wireless interface
product: BCM4313 802.11b/g/n Wireless LAN Controller
vendor: Broadcom Corporation
physical id: 0
bus info: pci@0000:04:00.0

driverversion=2.6.38-7-generic firmware=N/A latency=0 multicast=yes
wireless=IEEE 802.11bgn
resources: irq:17 memory:f2500000-f2503fff
Attempting to enable the card using "rfkill unblock wlan" resultsin
total freeze of system. As does the keyboard enable/disable button.
This, I am afraid, is all I can say on the issue, since I'm mostly a
linux novice. I will be happy to elaborate if questions appear.
