Hiddy...

One additional thought.  It appears that there is a bug somewhere in the
update manager since when it can't find a directory it just gives up the
ship and declares an error 2.  Seems to me that is a bug of some sort,
if I can fix it by manually adding a directory, then why can't the
update manager?
