Hrm, maybe the BIOS has configured the pins wrong then? Could you try the other PIN nodes in hda-analyzer (I'm suspecting 0x13, 0x14 or 0x15) and make sure that - OUT is checked - MUTE is unchecked You could also try toggling the EAPD and HP checkboxes and see if they make any difference.
