Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: gnome-screensaver

Using fspot photos for the screensaver. After the computer is idle for a
while the screen locks and gives the screensaver. A while later it goes
blank all as expected. If I have waited long enough for the screen to go
blank a move of the mouse will prompt for the password as expected. If I
do this when the screensaver is active, however, the screen freezes and
does not display the password prompt. Cntrl SysRq k works to exit but I
loose all unsaved data.
