Maddy, maybe i wasn't clear. It worked (initially) but the wubildr wasn't updated and finally it dropped me at a grub prompt. (That was buried a bit in my analysis).
Anyway... to continue: I ran "sudo grub-install /dev/sda2" (My /host is /dev/sda2) and it regenerated the /host/wubildr (also populated the files in the /boot/grub)... and now it's booting again. So... it looks like it's a manual regeneration of wubildr that's required on both 'windows-partition' installs as well as 'non-windows- partition' installs. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/742967 Title: Natty Wubi grub prompt on install -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
