I just reproduced the problem with a T61 and a docking station using Natty, following the sequence in the bug description.
1) Laptop is placed in a docking station 2) gnome-display-properties has been used to disable the internal laptop screen and only use the external display, this is stored in the gnome monitors.xml 3) Laptop is undocked 4) Laptop is suspended 5) Laptop is placed in docking station and resumes Expected result: gnome-screensaver displays a login prompt. Actual result: gnome-screensaver has to be killed from the console to gain access to the session. ** Summary changed: - 10.04, Multi Monitor: gnome-screensaver does not show login dialog after resume in docking station with lid closed. + T-61 Multi Monitor: gnome-screensaver does not show login dialog after resume in docking station with lid closed -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/705791 Title: T-61 Multi Monitor: gnome-screensaver does not show login dialog after resume in docking station with lid closed -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
