Hi,
How to reproduce :
Chose "Canada" Keyboard (French Canadian) by default and chose "English
US" to second choice.
Switch from "Canada" to "English US" keyboard. Try to write pipe character
you will get >>>> and <<<<
suppose to be |||||||||| and \\\\\\\
Note : When I do my initial installation I chose English US for the Default
Keyboard. After that, on gnome I switch to "Canada"
keyboard by default (I don't like to have "French Canadian" keyboard on
console (Alt-F1) when a have to resolve problem).
