I had the same problem with ubuntu-10.04.2-alternate-amd64.iso : all files names were truncated to 64 characters.
Or so I thought. After mounting the ISO in a debian installation I have, all files with file names over 64 characters in length are fine. So far I have not been able to find a windows utility that will correctly handle the long file names. I have tried 7-zip, Universal-USB-Installer-1.8.1.0.exe, unetbootin-windows-549.exe, liveusb-creator-3.10.0-setup.exe, and WinCDEmu. All have failed, and are truncating file names to 64 characters. -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/660402 Title: Files with filename longer than 64 Characters are broken -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
