The firefox profile is the standard one, I have not added any extension, plug-in or theme. As I mentioned the problem is a freeze, not a crash: no exceptions are raised, no signals exchanged, no core dump. The freeze is random and not reproducible; some sites (notably launchpad) lead to more frequent freezes. Most of the freezes are during a "download", but not always. Anything you can suggest to obtain more info?
