Public bug reported: Binary package hint: pulseaudio
Running up to date feisty i386 on an Athlon XP 1800+ with an add-in ES1371 PCI soundcard. PulseAudio is outputting to the sound-card through ALSA. I launch audacity like this: padsp audacity /usr/share/games/uqm/content/pkunk/insult01.wav but when I try to play the sound file, I get a dialogue box: "Error while opening sound device. Please check the output device settings and the project sample rate" In the terminal window I see: Expression 'ioctl( *odev, SNDCTL_DSP_SETTRIGGER, &enableBits )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 819 Expression 'OpenDevices( idevName, odevName, &idev, &odev )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 857 Expression 'PaOssStream_Initialize( stream, inputParameters, outputParameters, streamCallback, userData, streamFlags, ossHostApi )' failed in 'src/hostapi/oss/pa_unix_oss.c', line: 1222 ** Affects: pulseaudio (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- padsp doesn't work with Audacity https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/107207 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
