Could you please quit evolution and run the following on a terminal:
$ killall -9 e-addressbook-factory
$ export COUCHDB_DEBUG_MESSAGES=1
$ /usr/lib/evolution/e-addressbook-factory
then start evolution and try accessing the U1 addressbook, and when it
fails, go back to the terminal and copy the whole output and paste it
here, please
